Our Robot Dreams, Inc. is a software company founded by Lee Phillips and Francisco Gaytan. The mission of our company
is to provide a simple and intuitive infrastructure allowing disparate robotic and IoT devices to communicate and share
control. Along the way we also intend to have as much fun as possible. In our company, we don’t want to completely lose
our childish fascination with robots and what they can do.
Over the last ten years, robotic devices and hardware have become more advanced and easier to deploy and use than ever
before. Robots and robotic/IoT applications are exploding. As this massive change progresses, it’s going to be more and
more important for these different devices and systems to be able to communicate and in some cases, to share control
with each other.
We believe there needs to be a simple, intuitive way to bring all these systems together that allows them to communicate
and share control responsibilities with each other regardless of how they are programmed and controlled. Our vision is to
bring robotic and IoT devices together in self-governed “communities” working toward common goals safely and productively.
Our product, “The Robby Framework” provides a lightweight but powerful, multi-threaded infrastructure that supports
peer-to-peer “intelligent device networks”. In Robby, a network of devices is combined with a custom C# application (the “Master
Control Program” or “MCP”) which can control what its hosting-device does or doesn’t do in response to data received from
any of the devices or services in its network.
The framework works equally well when controlling and orchestrating the devices and services attached to a single robot or
when providing an intelligent interface between an independent robotic device and a network of external devices or, any
combination of the above.
This is our robot dream. We want to let the robots talk to each other.
